Tiger Woods Is Back

tiger woods returns for 2010 masters 150x150 Tiger Woods Is BackTiger Woods will make his highly anticipated return to professional golf at The Masters in Augusta on April 8th-11th.

Tiger’s announcement came on Tuesday, ending four months of speculation as to if / when he would rejoin the PGA Tour and resume his illustrious career. Rumors began swirling recently that Woods was ready to return to golf after he was spotted with swing coach Hank Haney at a driving range in Florida. It was initially thought that he would begin his 2010 PGA season at a smaller tournament like the Tavistock Cup or the Arnold Palmer Invitational,  but Tiger opted for playing in a major and vying for his fifth green jacket.

“The major championships have always been a special focus in my career and, as a professional, I think Augusta is where I need to be, even though it’s been a while since I last played.” – Tiger woods via a statement on TigerWoods.com

So how will his return affect The 2010 Masters tickets sales, The 2010 Masters television ratings, and Tiger Woods endorsements? Will the public be accepting of Tiger or continue to vilify him for the slew of infidelity reports that surfaced after one of the most famous non-injury producing car crashes of all time? Are you personally willing to forgive Tiger Woods or will he continue to be the punch line of jokes and rap songs?
