Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, and the Pittsburgh Penguins will take on Alex Ovechkin, Alexander Semin, and the Washington Capitals in the 4th annual Winter Classic in Pittsburgh – the New Year’s Day flagship event for National Hockey League.

The 2011 Winter Classic appearance will be the second for the Pens, who beat the Buffalo Sabres 2-1 in a shootout back in the 2008 inaugural event. Some new tour dates are in the works for an old favorite, Bon Jovi. The crictically acclaimed Bon Jovi Circle Tour is circling back to North America in 2011, with a bevvy of arena tour dates for one of Rock N Roll’s best.

The jaunt continues in support of Bon Jovi’s 2009 studio release, The Circle, and looks to build upon one of 2010′s most successful concert tours. The Bon Jovi Circle Tour is up for the two most prestigious Billboard Touring Awards, Top Draw and Top Tour.

As things currently stand, the Bon Jovi 2011 Circle Tour schedule opens in University Park, PA at Bryce Jordan Center on 2/9 and concludes in Vancouver, BC at Rogers Arena (formerly known as GM Place) on 3/25. Other featured 2011 Bon Jovi tour dates in The U.S. include concerts in Pittsburgh, PA at Consol Energy Center on 2/11, New York City, NY at MSG on 2/24 & 2/25, Washington DC at Verizon Center on 2/27, Boston, MA at TD Garden on 3/1, Philadelphia, PA at Wells Fargo Center on 3/2, Uncasville, CT at Mohegan Sun on 3/4, Chicago, IL at United Center on 3/8, San Antonio, TX at AT&T Center on 3/17, and Las Vegas, NV at The MGM Grand on 3/19. Canadian Bon Jovi 2011 tour dates feature the aformentioned show in Vancouver, as well as in Toronto, ON at ACC on 2/14 and Montreal, QC at Centre Bell on 2/18. Second shows are expected to be announced in markets where initial concerts end up sold-out.
