Come join the Dor L’Dor chapter of Hadassah-Wizo at the 4th annual Dreidel Bash – Thursday December 10th at 6 Degrees Night Club located at 2335 Yonge Street in Toronto, ON.
Oh Canada! How pleased are we at SaveFans! to officially launch our Pay What You Want Ticket Service in the great white north!
With all the hooplah around dynamic ticket prices, high service charges, Ticketmaster paperless tickets, etc. we make ticket buying simple for Canadians:
You – Negotiate the price you pay for tickets You – Pick any seat you want for ANY Concert, ANY Game or ANY Theatre performance You – Only pay a one time $5 service charge REGARDLESS or how many tickets you buy or how much you spend
As some of you may or may not know the Buffalo Bills signed a $78 million deal to play eight games over the next five years in good ol’ Toronto Ontario. Yes yes… break out those Ketchup Chips and Smarties because the NFL has now taken residency in the great white north, Canada. Dubbed the “Bills Toronto Series” the 5 regular season games and 3 preseason games played in Canada represent a first for a NFL – annual home games outside the U.S. Seeing how SaveFans! loves Canada… and football… we think this marriage is great. Now if we could only get an NFL team in Los Angeles… In the meantime Bills fans, Torontonians, Canadians, NFL fans, whoever you may be, pay what you want for tickets to this year’s Bills game at Rogers Centre vs. The New York Jets on Dec. 3rd.
Here is a funny Budweiser – NFL – Buffalo Bills commercial. When are we going to see one from Molson?
So here we are… After an 82 game season and three rounds of the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs the same two teams are standing as last year, the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Detroit Red Wings. Who is going to go home with Lord Stanley’s Cup? Will it be Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Marc Andre Fleury and the uber young Penguins? Or will the addition of Marian Hossa to already steller lineup of Henrik Zetterberg, Pavel Datsyuk, and Niklas Lidstrom be enough for the Wings to repeat?
Your humble narrator from SaveFans.com is picking Detroit in 7. Kind of the obvious call but I see Detroit as too deep of a team to beat. Add home ice to the equation and you just can’t go against them. Canadian sensation Sid the Kid will have to wait until 2010 to hoist The Cup.
The good news is a long series means more games for you the fans to see in person at Joe Louis Arena and Mellon Arena! And anyone who has been to an NHL game knows hockey is the best spectator sport in the world by far.
So here you go Penguins and Wings fans… Pay what you want for Stanley Cup Tickets and watch history be made!

Jay Mohr at River Rock Show Theatre Tickets – TV sitcom and film star Jay Mohr is making his first appearance in Canada in over a year. Be there to witness this pillar of comedy kill with his ‘grey’ material.

Animal Collective at Commodore Ballroom Event Tickets – The hippest of the Hipsters from America are coming to a Vancouver near YOU! I have seen these guys perform live multiple times and will be in attendance on this night as well. Love me some Animal Collective.
As many of you know, SaveFans.com is staffed chalk full of concert loving Canadians. Love the Great White North baby!
I decided to share with you what I think will become the definitive list of Top Ten Canadian musicians of all time. This promises to be better than our world famous Top 10 Jewish musicians list. Gotta love Canada baby! Without further delay, we present you with the Top 10 list.
Number #10 – Celine Dion
Celine Dion is flat out one of the finest singers to ever walk the planet. Say what you will about her musical selection or fashion sense, but this classy Diva from Montreal has some massive pipes! Celine is also a savvy business woman who earned a reported $100M+ for her two year stint at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas…wow.
Number #9 Snow aka Darrin O’Brien
Admit it! This makes you nostalgic. This Reggae jam owned the airwaves and dominated MTV’s video rotation in the 90′s. Informer, something something something…yeah! Ironically, Snow has since moved from Toronto, Canada to pursue a career as a doctor in Toledo, Ohio.
Number #8 The Guess Who
The Guess Who were straight up cool. They ruled the roost in the 70′s and represented Winnipeg well. With hits like “Shaking All Over” and “These Eyes” almost everyone in North America is familiar with their work. Seriously check them out. They are doing a short tour with most of the original band in tow. I recommend that you catch The Guess Who at Del Mar Fairgrounds on June 23! Worth a trip to the States no?
Number #7 The Tragically Hip
Us Canadians know that the Tragically Hip are more than the REM of Canada! The crew from Kingston have entertained us for years and always bring the goods. Show your support my lovelies by going to their shows!
Lukas won Rockstar Supernova, basically American Idol for Rock in 2006. Lukas is a brilliant musician and vocalist that we KNOW will make Canada proud. His new album will be coming out later this year, so we encourage you to support this young and emerging talent from Toronto, Ontario.
#5 Gordon Lightfoot
While, he may not be your cup of tea, he is for your parents and laid back folk! I saw him perform in Vancouver a few years back and it was a special experience. I urge you to support Gordon by checking out a few of his prime shows.
This Jagged little pill was a pillar of Alternative Rock in the 90′s. Famous for several awesome and iconic videos that ruled the MTV video rotation, Alanis may be best known for dating fellow Canadian Dave Coulier when she was ONLY 15 years of age. Scandalous!
Number #3 Neil Young
Neil is the elder statesman of rock. Beginning with the Buffalo Springfield, moving on to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young and finally as a solo artist, Neil embodies what it means to be a musician’s musician. Living in Los Angeles, you grow to appreciate creative professionals opinions and the consensus is unanimous – Neil Young is boss. Anyone going to check out Crosby, Stills, and Nash without Neil Young?
Number #2 Bryan Adams
Bryan Adams is the Jesus Christ of the mid 90′s love song. Once cast as lead for the film Don Juan DeMarco, Bryan Adams had to settle for merely writing a song for the film when the studio got cold feet and replaced him with Johnny Depp. He wrote a little song called “Have you Ever Really Loved a Woman” heard of it
Show your support for fellow Canadian Bryan Adams and grab your tickets!
Rush is easily one of the best bands ever. Led by Jewish dynamo Geddy Lee, Rush was a vital force in the music business with an ever evolving sound that spanned Progressive Rock to Synthesizer laden pop (Tom Sawyer anyone). I love Rush and I hope you feel the same! Limelight baby!
Toronto is a great city. Reminds me so much of my humble home in Los Angeles, California – never a dull moment in the Great White North!
As always, we want to provide you with the 411 on the best upcoming events in an area NEAR YOU! So without further delay, permit me to recommend the top events in Toronto, Canada from May 6 through May 10th!
SaveFans.com aims to be bigger than StubHub and TicketsNow. That is our goal plain and simple.
Since we have the 411 on the ticket industry, we wanted to alert you to lower than expected offers for Bruce Springsteen tickets. This can be happening for any number of reasons, but rest assured the shows are NOT selling well. This is bargain basement time as secondary market tickets are currently selling BELOW FACE VALUE.
Don’t say SaveFans.com doesn’t love you. I continue to boost the Springsteen shows and think that you should consider attending these specific performances from the Boss!
Bruce Springsteen, aka The Boss, America’s Poet, King of Jersey is coming to a city near you! Don’t miss his final concert tour.
