Popular Tech and Social Media site Mashable.com dished out some major props to SaveFans! today, featuring our ticketing platform as part of their Spark Of Genius Series. The contest, presented by Microsoft BizSpark, “showcases a promising new software company, and finds the unique feature that separates it from the competition.”

SaveFans! Takes the Bite Out of Event Tickets
Quick Pitch: SaveFans! is an offer based ticket platform that allows users to negotiate the price paid for live event tickets.
Genius Idea: SaveFans! brings some sanity back to buying tickets. Sellers can list tickets for free and buyers can negotiate prices for tickets for sporting events, concerts and theatre shows.
I think that most concert goers or sports fans would agree that the live event industry is catered towards the promoters/ticket agencies (soon to be ruled by one company) and not the fans themselves. View the full story:
Needless to say, we here at SaveFans! are quite appreciative of this very high honor and are excited about continuing to give you, the fans, The Power To Negotiate!
Gobble up tickets to the hottest events on Thanksgiving here at SaveFans!

Crazy Philadelphia Phillies fan Susan Finkelstein faces criminal charges for allegedly soliciting sex for World Series tickets in the following Craigslist ad:
“DESPERATE BLONDE NEEDS WS TIX (Philadelphia)
“Diehard Phillies fan–gorgeous tall buxom blonde– in desperate need of two World Series Tickets. Price negotiable— I’m the creative type! Maybe we can help each other!”
Finkelstein vehemently denies the charges joking, “I was hoping to get cheap tickets and maybe meet someone, talk, bat my eyelashes, and maybe get some tickets.”
Her lawyer claims, “Nothing happened here. Police jumped the gun on this case, and I’m confident that Mrs. Finkelstein will be acquitted if this goes to trial.”
As fate would have it this new Internet celebrity’s email was flooded with ticket requests and she ended up seeing the Phillies beat the Yankees 6-1 last night at game 1 of the World Series at the New Yankee Stadium.
And just to clarify in case this story is giving you ideas – no, sex cannot be offered as payment on SaveFans! If you want to buy World Series tickets our sellers are open to negotiation – but please… Cash or Credit Card only!

As I’m sure all you Phish Phans know by now the band has released brand new tour dates for Winter 2009. Amongst the most anticipated of all Phish shows this year are the three sold out stops in New York at Madison Square Garden on December 2nd, December 3rd, and December 4th.
What I’m sure many of you don’t know is that when the band played New York on New Years 2002 there was an abundance of fake tickets sold on sites like Craigslist and Ebay and even more sold by scalpers outside MSG the night of the show. Phish forums were flooded with complaints from people that bought tickets that claimed to be from Ticketmaster or mail order that left them standing in the cold.
If you are looking to negotiate the price you pay for Phish tickets but want the guarantee you can’t get from sites like Craigs List and Ebay then you have come to the right place. SaveFans.com lets you pay what you want for all Phish concerts and has the cheapest service charges (a measley $5 per transaction regardless of how many tickets you buy) No reason to take the risk with free classified ads when we’ll get you in the show guaranteed. The NBA season has yet to tip off and we are already excited about the Christmas Day showdown at Staples Center! L.A. always lights up when Shaq returns to town but now that The Big Diesel is a Cleveland Cav he will have to take a back seat to the dream matchup (that we didn’t get in last years NBA Finals) of Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.
Throw in signings by Ron Artest, Lamar Odom, Anthony Parker and Jamario Moon – there’s a whole new cast of characters in what could very well be a preview of a 2010 championship series.
If you grew up in the 1980s you probably have heard of Paul Reubens aka Pee-Wee Herman. What you might not know is that the famous Saturday morning show Pee-Wee’s Playhouse and Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure were both derived from a live theatre show called The Pee Wee Herman Show.
Well if you didn’t get a chance to see The Pee Wee Herman Show live in the 80′s you have a shot in early January 2010 when Reubens and cast bring the show back for a limited engagement at Club Nokia at L.A. Live. Originally scheduled for November at the Music Box at The Henry Fonda Theatre the show has moved to downtown Los Angeles to accomodate a larger audience.
If you are in New York or Los Angeles this weekend SaveFans! has special last minute deals on the opening games in the NLCS and ALCS series. Check out the below links to find prices potentially LOWER than face value:
