Fan Freedom Project Fights Ticketmaster Live Nation Paperless Ticket Policies
Thursday, February 24th, 2011The founding team at SaveFans! launched our service to help change the ticket industry. As fans ourselves, we believe that event go’ers should have access to tickets at the lowest possible prices, pay the lowest possible fees, and have input in the price they pay. Thus, SaveFans! was born, giving consumers the “Power To Negotiate.”
It seems as if Ticketmaster / LiveNation does not share in our belief system. Beginning in 2009, the two companies began instituting a Paperless Tickets system, which eliminated many of the rights given to a ticket owner. Transferability is limited, lines are longer, fees are higher – all to increase the bottom line of, you guessed it, Ticketmaster & LiveNation.
We encourage all fans of live events to support Fan Freedom Project. They have plenty of news and updates regarding your ticket holder rights, and they shed some light on the truth behind paperless ticketing. Here is video to learn more about their mission.
